How It Started
My name is Matt Jensen, founder of Before Tax. I’ve been a small business owner for nearly 10 years. For most of those years my tax strategy could be summed up as non-existent. Like many business owners I put off the pain of learning about business taxes to focus on my business.
After completing client work, invoicing, and responding to emails the idea of spending my free time heads down in a tax books sounded like torture. Years later I eventually found the time to understand how my taxes worked and was shocked at just how much I’d been overpaying! Learning about taxes really was laborious and at times even painful, however the rewards were real.
Once I finally realized this, it occurred to me there’s no reason improving your tax strategy needs to be as complicated and time consuming as my experience was. Before Tax was started in 2019 to be the tool I wish I had when I started consulting 10 years ago. Instead of putting off learning and applying the best tax strategies available, Before Tax instantly calculates how much could be saving today. These tools use your unique situation to put tax strategies to work find you savings; no books, no guesswork, and no wasted time.
It’s my sincerest hope that Before Tax gives you the confidence and clarity you need to begin improving your tax strategy today!
